Oh boy! Big, big news over here!

Guess what awesomeness just happened to me last week?

LimeTreeFruits.com // 4th of July

THAT! Can ya believe it?

I became an U.S. Citizen!

And it all happened in a blink of an eye.

So much happening lately. I have been just creating and re-arranging to-do lists after to-do lists, checking off tasks, pulling my hair out thinking of the ones to come and didn’t really have much time to sink in all the big changes around me.

Anywho, the process is all set and done just in time!
In time for my very first evah 4th of July Celebration as U.S. citizen. Super-exciting!

To celebrate, of course, I painted the occasion:

Party flags!!

Look how cute they are all printed and cut! Ready to decorate your cupcakes, tarts, hot-dogs, and the like:

Now, my dear outside-of-US friends. Don’t even dream that I forgot about you! OF COURSE I am well aware that you have some different date to celebrate independence or maybe you don’t have that date in the calendar at all! Maybe you have a national day instead!

Anywho, I wouldn’t forget about ya, sweets! 🙂 Here you have the same set to use on any party occasion.

How yummy is that?

I won’t annoy you too much with close-up pictures of the process this time.
Just ONE. Because it is too cute to ignore.

Look at that:

See the heart popping out of the flag? So round and squeezable, I wanna pinch it! 😀

Ok, enough with the silly talk. Ready to download and get that party started?

Great!

Now tell me sweets, if you don’t celebrate independence day on July 4th, when is your country’s scream-out-loud date? Or if you don’t celebrate independence, what is an important date in your country?

Happy weekend + happy summer-party, peeps!
And Happy 4th of July for those of us that celebrate it 😉

Smooches for ya,

Congratulations Raine! And thank you once again for the desktop and yummy printables.

In Australia our big day to celebrate our country is Australia Day on 26th January. It is supposed to celebrate Captain Cook’s first landing in Australia. However it’s not quite a celebration day for the indigenous population who’s ancestors were already here before Cook ‘discovered’ Australia.

Actually a more imporant day for Australia is Anzac Day which is celebrated on Aprl 25th each year. ANZAC stands for Australia New Zealand Army Corps and the day is to remember the landing and battle at Tobruk in WWII. A day when we remember and honour our soldiers, past and present.

I don’t think we have anything like that in the UK. 🙁

As always Raine your illustrations are amazing!! I have downloaded quite a few of your freebies and am just waiting for the right time to use them!

I’ve been pondering over the ‘self care’ one for weeks – I just haven’t got a clue what to put!!

hi Sam, think of small and silly things. Don’t take it too seriously. Maybe dance at home like no one is watching? 🙂 or paint your nails bright green? 😀 You can add and re-do your list anytime you want. Experiment with different things and keep repeating the ones that light you up! 😉

Congrats on your citzenship, the freebies look fun. We celebrate Waitangi day on 4th Feb, but it is not an easy date as like Australia there is a lot of political stuff as far as the Maori’s (indigenous people) go. So Anzac day is more sacred to NZers. That’s April 25.

congrats on your first 4th of July… we have our big day on 26th January though Australia Day is no where near as big a deal as 4th of July is… we were always stunned by how huge it was when we lived in Florida and it was fun to be a part of…xx

Congrats on getting your American Citizenship – I didn’t realise you weren’t American. Do you mind if I ask where you were from originally? I’m both Irish and British (being born in Northern Ireland we get dual nationality). I don’t really celebrate it, in fact I think Americans celebrate it more than I do, but I suppose St.Patrick’s day would be the main one. Now that I’m living in Scotland though, if they win the referendum on independence next year, then I guess in years to come we’ll be celebrating Scottish Independence in much the same way as you do in the USA!

Congratulations! I had one question. When I purchased your planner a couple of weeks ago you had stated that there would be more freebies exclusively for subscribers on the first of each month. Are these the ones you are talking about? They are very cool. You have an amazing talent
